An Italian thinker Leon Battista Alberti
(1404-1472) Said: that “a embodied the basic tenets of Renaissance humanism, which
considered humans empowered, limitless in their capacities for development , and
led to the notion that people should embrace all knowledge and develop their capacities
as fully as possible in all areas of knowledge, in physical, and in the field of
arts. An upright, capable and a model police officer, a lover of sports & physical
fitness, an accomplished poet, a literary personality, social reformist and above
all, a self-committed human being who wants to spread the message of peace and harmony
in the entire world, the multi-talented and gifted, M.F. Farooqui perhaps epitomizes
the very spirit of that golden Renaissance era.
The Highly versatile Farooqui was placed 68th in the final merit list of the prestigious
All India Civil Service exam. He has represented his departmental team in lawn tennis
in the World Police games held in New York. His recently published of poems “Thoda
Sa Main” ( A Little Bit Of Me) has been applauded and appreciated by noted columnist
Khushwant Singh besides many other celebrity poets. There is more to M.F. Farooqui’s
personality but before we could put our questions to him, he fired first with a
query that yours is a business magazine, how do I fit into it? We took some times
to convince him that this publication is all about celebration the entrepreneurial
spirit displayed in any field and also about highlight individual talents that touch
our lives for the better. We started off with the question that perhaps he was also
expecting, how does he manage such diverse interests so well despite all the pressures
of being a senior police official? He admits that it is not easy.
“With the blessing of the almighty and of those of my parents and with the support
of my family, I have managed to strike a fairly good balance between my professional
duties and my varied interests, my love for sports and my passion for poetry.”
Why me, for that matter, anyone can achieve and manage diverse interests if one
pursues them with devotion and passion, “Says he making it sound simple. Perhaps
it’s the quest for excellence in whatever he does as well as the sincerity of purpose
he been able to excel in as policing and poetry. He has been decorated and honored
with Police Seva Medal by President of India for discharging his professional duties
with dedication. Considered and admired as a ‘thinking officer’ by his peers and
colleagues, he wants to change the policing system for the better. “Every time complaints
come to me, they have a stereo type response” JEE POLICE WALE SUN NAHI RAHE JI”
(police officers are not listening to their problem). My efforts are to change the
approach and the attitude of the officials so those public grievances are removed
and justice is displayed, “says Farooqui.
